How To Watch Internet On Your TV

By Bobby Watson

Thanks to modern technology, certain areas in our life have become so much easier and much more convenient. For example, watching television on our personal computer is now something that's been growing as a trend. Internet TV has changed the way we watch television shows and programs, allowing for portability and access 24/7. Here, now, is the big question: How to watch internet on your TV?

First and foremost, you have to make sure that you have the right kind of television. Choose a TV set that permits PC to TV connections and one that delivers high quality videos. Naturally, old tube television may not deliver as great results as LCD and Plasma TV. But since LCD and Plasma TV are now more affordable than ever, then you can easily save up some money in order to be able to purchase them.

It is also of utmost importance that you choose a TV set that has a VGA input. A VGA input will allow your television to act as your computer monitor. If not, you can opt for an S-video input as all TV sets have one. Apart from a digital TV and a laptop computer, you will also need a VGA 15-pin connector cable or an RCA audio cable, or a wireless converter.

Once you have all the tools and materials you need, your next step would be to connect your laptop or desktop computer to your television set. Make use of a 15-pin male to male VGA cable, or those whose pins are sticking out on both ends. Look for the female VGA input on your computer and on your TV. As previously mentioned, you may also use an S-video cable instead of the VGA cable, or you can even go wireless.

After getting the cables ready, you can then proceed to hooking them up by plugging one end into your laptop or desktop computer and the other end into your television set. If you are using a wireless converter which converts digital signal on your laptop into a format that your analog television can show, then you won't have to hook up cables and you will also be able to save some space.

You can start watching internet on your TV after you have established the connections. This, now, is how to watch internet on your TV.
