It is quite familiar for some people to hear HDTV. It is currently found by a company in Japan. The first analog HDTV program has been broadcast on June 3rd, 1989. It is a latest sophisticated technology of television in recent years, and well known as a television that has higher resolution. Though it used to have analog techniques, but today the company has widen their innovation to be more sophisticated, that uses digital broadcast using video compression as well. This is one of the advantages using this product. HDTV used to be described as a television systems series that originated from the late of 1930s.
Before it comes to be HDTV, The British also had high definition TV that was started on August 1963 that was starting their service on November 1936. The British high definition TV using the Baird 240 line (mechanical) and Marconi-EMI 405 line (electronic) systems. But then, the mechanical system was stopped on February 1937. The France also invented their own new 441 line system, but that France invention then used by other countries. Then US joined in 1941 with their NTSC system. France introduced a higher resolution standard 819 lines in 1949, then this system would be high definition even by today's high definition TV standards, though it was only for monochrome.
United States was recorded as the first country that had successfully launched and introduced this very high resolution video technology. In 1998, many American television companies joined in a great alliance with the researchers from MIT and developed this technology. HDTV is the revolution from the previous video technology of digital compression. This technology came as the answer for the analog system's inability to resolve the complex decoding signals. HDTV scored a great success so that since then the applications were simultaneously installed in many countries in Europe. Each of the countries like Russian, Belgium, and UK were later giving significant innovations and developments for this technology to come up as the super video we know at present.
The HDTV brings magic to the TV industry because the Television channel now can show the exact format of the movies just like in the theater. The format of the movies is 16:9, and the older television format is 4:3. The differences seem not really great, but when you watch it, the new 16:9 ratio is much wider than the older 4:3 ratio. It's truly an art. I really like the HDTV because of this.
Nowadays, many people tend to watch movies that are recorded under HDTV system. Not like the other technologies giving sharp picture that can hurt our eyes, it is a guarantee that a movie recorded in an HDTV file will presents a very clean picture that is comfortable to our eyes.
