Thinking Of Getting A 3D Samsung TV?

By James Fealty

So you are a gadget person, and the next new gadget you are looking at is a new TV. You have had a flat screen TV for a while and you have always considered yourself to stay on the cutting edge of technology. So, what is the next thing for you to do? How about following the new television trend of 3D Samsung TV's? Yes, that's right, 3D TV! It's the new way to go if you want the latest in viewing HDTV in your home.

Many channels are now beginning to offer shows in 3D, cable networks are creating entire 3D channels, and of course, the big movie studios are now releasing their latest titles in 3D and even going back re releasing certain titles with this advanced viewing technology.

When it comes to choosing, 3D Samsung TVs are the leaders amongst the pack. Of course there will be a few questions that you will have before you run out and purchase a 3D television, the first just might be what exactly is 3D TV? To simply answer that question, 3D TV is a feature that is on a normal HDTV that is designed to display three dimensional images on your screen form content that is formatted in 3D. This takes place with the TV and a pair of 3D active shutter glasses working in sync with each other.

The glasses work by switching between black and clear and alternating from the left and right eye. This works in conjunction with the Samsung 3D TV screen, which is displaying alternating images at ever so slightly different angles. This is moving at such rapid rate that the brain can't see both angles at once creating the illusion of a three dimensional image.

Samsung is a leader in flat screen television technology and they offer a line of 3D TV's that are among the best available. They have 3D TV's that come in sizes from forty inches to sixty five inches ranging in price from eight hundred USD to above twenty five hundred USD.

Samsung is offering these TV's with a feature that they call Samsung Apps on their "smart" TV's. These are web connected applications and include a web browser that allows you to search for TV shows, chat with your friends and surf the web, along with other interactive content made for television. Samsung apps connect to some of your favorite places for movies such as Blockbuster, Netflix, Hulu, and you can even watch videos that are on YouTube.

Samsung 3D TV's are at the head of the class with all the primary features they are offering with their sets. Regular television shows in two dimensions will display on these advanced sets. 3D TV technology will only affect movies or shows that are particularly formatted to be viewed in three dimensions.

Do keep in mind that you are only able to view 3D TV with the 3D glasses. So, if you plan on having a large group of friends over for the big game or the kids are having 3D movie night, remember that you will need enough pairs of 3D glasses for everyone.
